The first 24 hours are critical. Or not at all. We'll see.
Every new adopter goes through the same stages. We timed them for you, minute by minute (roughly), so you know what to expect.
Official adoption timeline
Hour 1: you open the box. First silence. You wonder whether you've just made the best or the worst purchase of your life. Both, actually.
Hour 2: you read the training guide. You laugh alone in your living room. That's normal, nobody's judging you.
Hour 3: you put it on your desk. First obedience test passed: it stays exactly where you put it.
Hour 5: you show it to someone. Their reaction ranges from fits of laughter to genuine concern for your mental health.
Hour 8: you start talking to it. A little. Just to see.
Hour 12: you've given it a name. No one knows exactly when it happened. It's always like that.
Hour 18: you take a photo of it to show on social media. You own it completely.
Hour 24: you realise it never asked for anything, cost nothing to maintain, and has already become a fully-fledged member of the household.
Welcome to the family
Past this point, there's nothing left to do. Literally. That's the whole beauty of it.
