We asked 100 people why they adopted a Pet Stone. Here's what they said.

We're nothing like a serious polling institute. But we still asked 100 people the question.

One clarification before we start: this isn't a scientific study. No researcher in a white coat validated our numbers. It's an in-house survey, done for fun, with answers that are all true in spirit, even if we rounded a few for the laugh.

The (uncertified) ranking of answers

34% answered: "I wanted a pet, but not the responsibilities that come with it."

21% admitted: "It was to prank a friend. And now I have one too."

18% said, very seriously: "It never judges my life choices. Unlike my cat."

15% admitted buying it after an unboxing video on TikTok, at 2am, without thinking too hard about it.

12% simply said: "I don't know. It made me laugh, I clicked."

What we take away from all this

No one adopted a Pet Stone out of necessity. Deep down, everyone did it for the same reason: to treat themselves with a completely useless object, and to own that choice fully.

This shoot with our influencer collaborations produced three other equally absurd photos — pages 2, 3 and 4 of the same session, if you want to see more.

In the meantime, if you're still looking for a good reason to adopt one: you've just read five.
